A much overdue announcement . . .

We are having a BABY!!! I keep putting off the "Facebook announcement" because I wanted to know gender first, then I wanted to have a good picture of my emerging baby bump, then I started thinking I should do something cute and creative . . . meh.

WE ARE HAVING A BABY AND WE ARE SO DARN HAPPY ABOUT IT!

I am just about 20 weeks along. Due date is JULY 11 ❤ We will be finding out gender on February 28th. Morning sickness kicked my butt for the first 16 weeks or so, but I am feeling totally back to normal now and enjoying this golden stage of 2nd trimester pregnancy.

I also want to say, however awkwardly, that I am painfully aware of how blessed we are. To have conceived three children, two years apart, with no complications, miscarriages, or any causes for concern (so far). I know that is not the case for so many of my dear friends and it makes my heart ache. I don't know why we have been so lucky, but my prayers always include two things. First, to not ever take these blessings for granted. Second, to be a loving and considerate friend rather than an unintentionally braggy or obnoxious one, trying to be aware of the needs and feelings of others. So much room to grow. But I am trying.
