Sharks cove was so much fun the first time that we decided to go back yesterday! It was pretty cloudy so the water wasn't as clear, but we saw some awesome fish. Something I noticed this time was a lot of bigger fish. Some of those guys hiding under the rocks are huge! They move quickly though, so we weren't able to get any good pictures of them . . . guess we'll have to go snorkeling again.
After Sharks Cove we went to Aoki's. The third installment in the shave ice trials (we've been going around to all the different places to see which we like best). Matt and I decided that Matsumotos' sweetened condensed milk puts it at the top of the list, but Angels' is tied for first because it's walking distance from my parents house. Can't beat that! Sorry Aoki's.
Stopped off at turtle beach and finally saw a turtle on land! It was exciting, but they are so beautiful and graceful under the water we almost prefer to see them out while we're snorkeling.
We also stopped at Pipeline on the way home, hoping to watch some surfing. Beautiful beach, beautiful waves, beautiful shells, but no surfers. So, after dinner we went down to Pounders Beach. This is a place where the waves are insane and the body boarders are fearless! We sat there for quite awhile, picking out our favorite guys and cheering for them.
Thanks for documenting these great memories. I'm soaking up every day we have together!
